Aside from being home, this was a fun Christmas because the kids are getting older. Lucas understood who Santa was, what he would do, and what Christmas was last year. He wrote Santa a letter, talked about the North Pole and the elves, and was excited for Santa. But this year was like a whole new level of Christmas fun with him. He learned entire Christmas songs, like Rudolf, jingle bells, we wish you a merry Christmas, and Away in a Manger. He had a list of 5 things he wanted from Santa, and said he didn't want to ask for too much or else other kids wouldn't get their presents because the sleigh would be too full. He loved decorating the tree and the rest of the house. He helped set up the nativity, and could tell you about it. He had a Christmas party at school that he was excited about. There was just so much fun to be had with Christmas this year!
And even though juli is still too young to understand much about Christmas, she has just been growing and entering such a fun stage of development. Her speech is continuing to blossom so quickly. She says Cheese! When you take her picture. Santa brought her and Lucas play cameras that show pictures of Frozen and Cars when you click them. She loves them (so does Lucas) and will take your picture or smile and say cheese for hers over and over. Gaga sent her a Rody bouncy horse that she loves bouncing on. She is just in such a transitional stage where she is learning more and more and so interested in the world. It is awesome.
So we had a fantastic Christmas, and are excited to travel to see the Naumann clan soon. Here are a few pictures of our holidays so far!
