Wow! So much has happened since my first (and last) post on here! I must admit, blogging while pregnant and finishing my graduate year was a major fail. But I have decided to give it another try. I want to be able to look back on this and remember some of the things that happened when Lucas was little, and not mix everything up! So here is a quick snapshot of what our lives are like right now. Lucas is almost 8 months old. Which is not possible. It seems like he should still be a newborn baby, which is what every parent says, but you don't realize how true it is until your own baby starts getting big! He is so much fun right now, he is getting more and more mobile and curious. He is interested in everything. He notices little things right away, like the corner covers on the coffee table. We put them on one night after he went to bed and the next morning he was trying to get them off within the first 2 minutes of being in the living room. He babbles a lot now mostly saying bababa, which Ben tries to change to Dadada. That way he will be saying Dada :) Lucas still doesn't sleep through the night, but he has improved a lot. He will sleep for 3 or 4 hours at a time now, but still gos back to getting up every two hours if he is over tired or not feeling well. There is so much more to say about my little man, but I will leave it there for now! We are currently living in San Antonio, Texas. Ben is in training at Randolph AFB called PIT (pilot instructor training). This will teach him how to teach others how to fly the T6. He is doing really good so far, and continues to work hard. He definitely gets more time off during the day than he did during pilot training so we are taking advantage of that and spending lots of family time together. We should be going back to Oklahoma in July. San Antonio is great because there is so much to do, but it is weird living somewhere for only 4 months. It is hard to feel settled here. Well, that's all for now. Lucas just woke up from his nap and we are going to baby story time with our friends Lindsey and Tanner! Hope to write more soon!
