So anyways, I thought this day was going to go one way, dealing with a very sick and miserable kid, and it turned out to be a nice day.
My favorite part, though, was lunch. We played a new game at lunch called Who Am I? Lucas and I took turns pretending to be different characters from movies, shows, or whatever, while the other person asked questions and guessed who they were. I modeled the game by pretending to be Mickey Mouse. Lucas caught on really quickly and wanted to pretend next. So I asked him what his favorite thing to say was. He said Woof woof! I asked who his best friend was. He said... Hmmm Cody! I was stumped. I don't know of any Codys in any shows or movies that he likes. I asked Juli if there is a Cody in Paw Patrol. She looked at me like I was crazy. Lucas said, "no but there's a Cody in Mimi's neighborhood."
Apparently he was pretending to be my mom's dog, Paris! I was so impressed that he a.) remembered the random dog in my mom's neighborhood's name and b.) thought that would be Paris's best friend!
I went on the pretend to be Alex from Madagascar. Then on Lucas's turn I asked where he lived. He said "the north mountain." I asked what he wore and he said "a brownish shirt and a belt." He was pretending to be Christoff! The smile on his face when I could guess his characters was priceless. I love seeing his little brain at work, and he loves being challenged with new activities.
